诗90:17 愿主 我们神的荣美(荣耀美丽)归于我们身上。

旧约美丽的应许，但却没有告诉我们方法，
到了新约 耶稣旁边最亲近的使徒;彼得,约翰告诉我们方法：

彼前 3:3-4 你们不要以外面的辫头发，戴金饰，穿美衣为妆饰，
只要以里面存着长久温柔，安静的心为妆饰；这在神面前是极宝贵的。
直译:
彼前3:3-4 不要用外面的发型，金饰珠宝，美衣来美容自己,
要用温柔顺服(meek),安静,这些永不老化的美，来美容心,隐藏的人, 这在神面前是极宝贵的。
[kjv] Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
[NLT]Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes.

使徒约翰教导我们；祷告寻求神的圣洁,美德，我们的灵魂会变得非常美，像耶稣那么美
